The Washington Redskins football team plays at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. Ticket Monster provides a detailed review of the stadium, as well as the Redskins remaining schedule.
To begin, it was announced in October 2013 that FedEx Field may be receiving NFL funds of $27 million to renovate the field. The modifications with include changes to field, as well as the seats, some stadium signage, and a Hall of Fame expansion. The stadium was also previously renovated in 2011 and 2012.
FedEx Field holds 85,000 people, with 243 executive suites. The stadium actually had a higher capacity in previous years before it was renovated. The stadium has five levels: the lower level, the club level, the lower and upper suites level, and the upper level. Some of the best sections to sit in at a Redskins game are sections 1, 2, 21, 22, 42, 101, 121, 142, and rows 1-28 in each section.
Tonight the Redskins will take on the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday’s night stage. The Redskins, who are currently 3-5 and third place in the NFC East will take on the Vikings at 8:25PM. This time slot happens to be right in the middle of two great college football games of the night, with Oklahoma vs Baylor at 7:30PM and Stanford and Oregon at 9PM.
Although on the road, the Redskins find themselves being the favorite tonight against the 1-7 Vikings, whose only win has come against the Steelers. Both teams find themselves in must-win situations, as the Vikings need to get at least one other win in the 2013 season, and the Redskins need a win, for they still have a chance in the mess that is the NFC East.
RGIII may be a little more trustworthy to Redskins fans these days, although he started off the year shaky. He is coming off his ACL surgery, and some believed he had come back too soon. Forgetting the rough start, the Redskins have won two of their last three, including a 30-24 victory over the Chargers last week. RGIII had a solid performance as he went 23 of 32 and threw for 291 yards. The only hope for Minnesota rests upon the shoulders on running back Adrian Peterson, who had a 140-yard game last week against the Cowboys.
